The greatness of culture can be found in its festivals
Festival be it national or religious is a community celebration. C L Gupta World School celebrates each festival by making children realise that festivals, a blend of gaiety and culture, in our land don’t reflect religion rather teach us to rise above despite odd conditions with new aspirations and hopes. It is the responsibility of the school to pass the legends, knowledge and traditions onto the next generation through these festivities. Promoting various festive celebrations develops principles and ethics and solidifies patriotic spiritsin every child belonging to the esteemed institute.

For a CLGIAN celebrating events and festivals in the institute has become an integral part of growing, learning new activities, and building a strong cultural belief. Celebrations bring the students closer to each other’s cultural beliefs and traditions to develop respect and understanding for each other’s customs and traditions. School-going children are exposed to the essence of festivals in various ways as they participate to express their festive emotions through various art forms like singing, dancing, a one-act play, a poem recitation, fine art etc.
Independence Day Celebration
C L Gupta World School with freedom in the mind, faith in the words and pride in their soul gathered together to salute the nation on the 75th year of independence. The celebration commenced with invoking the blessings of the almighty followed by flag hoisting and singing of national anthem. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the students presented insightful thoughts in the assembly. The celebration unfolded with mesmerising performance displaying yoga postures to revere the patriots leaving a strong message that a healthy body and a disciplined mind are the foundations of a world free from fear. The enthusiastic CLGIANS through their powerful contemporary dance narrated the struggle of the land during partition and the spirit of unity in this land leaving the audience nostalgic about the painful journey towards freedom. To celebrate this national festival more enthusiastically the students participated in an Inter-House Patriotic Song Competition. The Maple echoed the rhythm of each song energising and motivating the participants and audience to carry nationalistic zeal in their hearts. The programme folded with inspirational words of Ms. Savita Singh, the Principal of CLGWS, leaving the staff and students to recollect their worth of being responsible citizens.
On 17th August C L Gupta World School celebrated Janmashtami with mirth and joy to seek the blessings of Lord Krishna. The To celebrate the bond between the children and the almighty, the students dressed as lord Krishna, Radha and mother Yashoda presented various enthralling dances revering important events of lord Krishna’s life. The themed decorated school premises and the spirit of festivity inclusive of aarti and bhajan was enhanced with the description of lord Krishna’s life and the message of Janmashtami conveyed by the students of the school. The celebration emphasised on a strong message that the right way to make the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami is to embrace and follow the teachings of Lord Krishna from Bhagwat Gita.
