Our range of learning and teaching facilities is in a set of buildings designed by an innovative architect to create an interesting mix of old and new. Centrally Air-conditioned including Chauffage Central, the internal space includes areas with acoustic and sound isolations specifications and open performance space available for Dance Drama & Art students. Every class has been converted into a Smart Class with modern amenities for effective teaching incorporating the use of technology in combination with the latest techniques and teaching methods. Separate lockers are provided for each student. CLGWS classrooms are comfortable, capacious and premiere classrooms.
a.) The Language Lab is the center for mastering Spoken English and for additional help in learning of other FOREIGN LANGUAGE learning program such as French.. The Language Lab has been provided with audio-visual equipment for pronunciation, writing skills, presentation skills and interactive language learning activity. The Lab has been the most coveted place of activity for our students who are helped to shed all hesitation and rev up in confidence. This provides the students a space to bring tremendous change in their way of speaking , since rudiments of speaking helps not only in various platforms for public speaking, GD, elocution and dialogue delivery in dramatics but also boosts up positive energy level and confidence of each child. Our students are active MUN debators participating in MUN conferences both in India and abroad.
b.) Computer Labs: are well equipped with internet and multimedia provisions. Computer classes begin in class I. Computer Science is compulsory for all the students up to X. Computer Science and Informatics Practices are optional subjects for class XII students. The Cyber niche is provided to the students to equip them with the training required for them to be computer wizards.
c.) Modern Science Labs: Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs are fully equipped with latest scientific instruments for practicals to be carried out in these labs.Classes IX to XII get sufficient opportunity to perform experiments independently and learn the nuances of scientific applications. Learning by doing is the best way to teach and that can be done for science only with the help of well equipped laboratories and performance of activities and experiments by the students for learning the application of the concepts to be learnt in theory.
d.) Maths Lab.To introduce clarity in concepts of mathematics the Mathematics Lab in our School uses an assortment of methods and tools. Mathematics applied in classroom situations, using code messages, paper folding and cutting, use of blocks are common in junior classes At higher levels use of more powerful tools as video applications help conceptualize challenging areas.This aspect of practically learning by doing accelarates the comprehending factor. The simplification of methods have made mathematics a subject much sought after. Creating edifice for strong mathematical skill- building is behind the whole idea of Mathematics Lab at CLGWS.
e.) Social Science Lab: The social science lab is equipped with Models and Charts as well as other aids which help the children to grasp the minor details of geographical distribution and description of the historical Monuments
and their significance.
Multi Activity Facilities
The multipurpose Maple Auditorium has been built for a seating capacity of 700. This structure has a column less reinforced concrete roofing to accommodate roof top tennis & basketball courts.
Amphi theater, with a capacity of 700 used by theater groups informal stage shows, slider shows video projects etc..
The auditorium is an ideal center space for multifarious activities including the annual cultural programs, assembly activities, competitions, orientation classes , interactive meetings informal stage shows, slider shows, video projects etc
Conference Hall with a capacity of 150 is used for Principal parent meetings, staff meetings, knowledge sharing sessions and power point presentations.
Library Cum Resource Centre
A well equipped library with an extensive range of reference books, knowledge books covering all the subjects and recent fictions for extra reading, newspapers, magazines, periodicals, educational CD’s, computer aided referencing systems are available for the students for easy access. This resource center enables students to rapidly locate books. As part of the focus on e-learning . Students are encouraged to use the internet & to access online international library for information. All the classes are allotted at least one period in a week to visit the library and the reading room is under close observation of the Librarian.
